Trouble with Mule Trading

A difficulty occurred last week between T. H. Lockwood and E. Bragg, resulting in two or three criminal charges being preferred against the latter. The trouble grew out of a misunderstanding over a mule trade. Before the matter ends it will probably cost some one more than both mules are worth. Such transactions, however, give the court officers and lawyers something to do. “It’s an ill wind that blows nobody good.”
