First Bale of Cotton

Farmerville received her first bale of cotton Saturday. It was raised by Mr. Abner Green, a leading farmer of the Oakland ward. The bale weighed 460 pounds, and was bought by the Haas Mercantile Co., Ltd., at 5 cents per pound, with a barrel of patent flour for a premium.
