Mr William Craighead, who lives south of Bayou D’Arbonne in this parish, was the victim of quite a serious accident last Saturday. He was out squirrel hunting and while loading one barrel of his gun which had just been fired, the other barrel discharged, sending the load of shot in his jaw and face. His jaw bone was broken to pieces and had to be taken out in fragments. Dr. Taylor, who was summoned to his relief, says it is very doubtful whether Mr. Craighead will recover.
