Dr. C. H. Laurence passed through Farmerville last Friday on his way to fill his professional engagement in Marion. Dr. Laurence has recently been granted a diploma by the National Dental Association of the United States. In 1897, he was a student at the Atlanta Dental College, but on account of quarantine restrictions could not go back to complete his three-term course, and under the rules of the college no diploma is granted to pupils who do not complete the full course, except in cases where special merit is shown. The National Dental Association has decided that Dr. Laurence’s work entitles him to the diploma and hence has recommended it.
