Ives – Wharton

The Gazette
October 12, 1898

Last Tuesday morning at 10 o’clock, a quiet marriage was performed at the home of the bride’s parents, Rev and Mrs. Wharton.

The contracting parties were Mr. F. H. Ives and Miss Ella Wharton.

Miss Wharton is one of the most popular young society ladies of this place and a general favorite of all who know her.

Mr. Ives is a wealthy wholesale merchant of Jacksonville, Fla. He is courteous and gentlemanly and we feel sure the choice on both sides was equally wise. May success and prosperity ever attend them – Jeffersonian Weekly

The bride has many friends in Farmerville – her former home – who will join The Gazette in best wishes.
