A Saw Mill Blown Up

The Gazette
February 1, 1899

Yesterday morning while the Spears saw mill at Ouachita City was running at a good speed sawing lumber the boilers collapsed and blew up with great force, the explosion casting debris to the four winds. While the damage done is considerable the News is glad to state that no one was seriously injured and that no lives were lost. – Monroe News.
