Resolutions of Respect

The following resolutions were unanimously adopted by the North Louisiana Agricultural Society at its meeting at Calhoun, March 30, 1899.

Whereas, We, the members of the North Louisiana Agricultural Society, heard with profound sorrow of the death of Mrs. Lee, wife of Major J. G. Lee, and one time secretary of this society and

Whereas, Mrs. Lee was at all times most zealous and untiring in her efforts to aid its aims and objects, contributing much to the success of the more important meetings of the society, besides being a warm friend of its members both individually and collectively; therefore, be it

Resolved, That we take this occasion to express our sense of the loss we have sustained, and our admiration for Mrs. Lee’s splendid character and gifted mind; and that we hereby tender to Maj. Lee and to Mrs. Lee’s family our heartfelt sympathy in their bereavement.

Resolved further, that the secretary be requested to forward copies of these resolution to the papers of the state with the request that they be published.
