Mr. Henry Henderson has after some delay, taken his leave for Oklahoma, where he intends engaging in the mercantile business.
Sorry are we to state that Mr. and Mrs. Elias Carroll lost one of their little girls one day last week. Congestion was the trouble.
A petition has been circulated in this ward asking that a post office be established at the new railroad station near Mr. Frank Farrar’s place. It is asked that the name of this post office shall be Lillie. Likely Mr. B. F. Post will be postmaster.
Since writing last Miss Mary Slaughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Henderson, and Dr. Murphy of Oakland, were quietly married at the residence of the bride’s parents. The newly wedded couple are now keeping house at Oakland.
