Mr. W. M. Post, Jr., who went to Texas about five weeks ago for his health, has returned home.
Mr T. W. Clark has recently built a good, timely bridge across little Cornie and two causeway bridges.
A weeks protracted meeting closed at this place last Friday night. Two additions to the church was the result, so far as in-gathering is concerned.
Owing to a wreck of the train at Junction City last Saturday evening a number of Bernice and Lillie bound passengers were in suspense until 9 o’clock that night. At that time “Bob” (the local engine) took possession of the passenger coaches and she soon made her way to Bernice.
Mr. Burl Ingram and sister, of Conway, Ark., were visiting relatives here not many days ago.
Mr. Tom Henderson has recently returned from New York, where he has been taking a commerce course.
