By reference to our announcement columns it will be seen that Fred F. Preaus, Esp., has entered the race for district attorney for the fourth judicial district. Mr. Preaus has had many urgent solicitations from strong and influential men of both Union and Lincoln parishes to run for the position, and he has at last concluded to do so. He is honest, he is capable, he attends strictly to his own business, is vigilant and active, and from the lines of duty he will not turn aside for either friend or foe. Should he be elected to the position to which he aspires, we have no hesitancy in saying that he will represent the interests of the commonwealth with ability, credit and fairness. He submits his candidacy to the voters of the district at the Democratic primary election on the 24th inst.
