A Bold Thief

The Gazette
April 11, 1900

Last Saturday night a thief went to Mr. J. L. Wynne’s stable near Mt. Tabor, and stole his pony, leaving in its place a small broken down sorrel animal. The stolen horse is a heavy built cream pony with heavy mane and tail, perfectly gentle. Any person seeing such a pony Sunday or Monday will confer a favor on Mr. Wynne by notifying him, in order that his horse might be recovered and the thief captured. It is supposed the party was making his way out of the country.
