Fire in Farmerville

A lighted lamp fell from a window Sunday evening at Mr. J. B. Covington’s residence and exploded. The burning oil attracted the attention of the congregation at the Methodist church during prayer, and when the minister had finished praying his congregation had pretty much deserted him. A number rushed to the scene of the blaze, but the flame had been extinguished before they got there without any material damage.
