Editor Gazette: We had a fine rain last night; crops look fine, corn is in silk and tassel. So, we farmers will make a good corn crop if it doesn’t rain any more; and cotton is growing.
I see that your ward is prolific for stock. We haven’t any twin calves and triplet goats in ward 10; but there are twin and triplet babies. A lady in this ward 52 years old gave birth to twins.
We had all day singing and a basket dinner at Mt. Ararat last Sunday. Prof. S. P. Lewis led the singing. He is a fine vocalist and a christian gentleman. Our pastor, Bro. A. J. Ambrosidel, made a good lecture on music. There were about three hundred people present. The good music and good grub made us forget that we had ever had any hard times.
