Jesse Fowler

I received a e-mail asking assistance on Jesse Fowler and his second wife who was a Beard. If you have any information on either please post it in the comments.

“Jesse Fowler along with his brothers, Lewis and James, left Pike County AL for Union Parish in middle 1840’s. The 1850 Census shows Jesse at Ouachita City. He was married to Lucinda and had 5 children, Milla, Frances, Rebecca, Charity and Tayler. They parted and he married a Beard. Jesse died before my great grandfather, William Penn was born in Feb. 1857. His mother left for TX and his Uncle James reared him. I can’t find any information on Jesse, his children or William Penn’s mother. James went on to Jackson Parish. Please any info would be greatly appreciated.”

After looking closely to my own tree I found Jesse Fowler. He is the son of John William Fowler Jr. who is the brother of my 4th great grandfather Richard Fowler. John William  Jr. was married to Elizabeth. The children I have are:

  • Female – 1808-1829
  • Lewis  – 1814-1888
  • Jesse – 1815-1857
  • Rebecca – 1820-1899
  • Penelope – 1821- ?
  • James S. – 1825-1903
  • John T. – 1828-1893

Jesse’s first wife was Lucinda Bailey and their first daughter was Emilia Ann “Nellie”.
