District Court

November 27, 1901

The present session of court will be “short and sweet.” The criminal docket was disposed of Monday, and there is but little civil business pending, keeping the court at work not over one or two hours of each day. Judge Dawkins hopes to clear up the docket this week and not hold any court during December.

Following matters have been disposed of:

Nezee Washington pleaded guilty to two charges of retailing liquor without license, and was fined $100 and costs in each case, and in default of payment six months in prison.

Dennis Williams pleaded guilty of charge of disturbing peaceable assembly and was fined $15 and costs.

Suits of Kohn Weil & Co. and Landauer & Mayer vs. Haas Mercantile Co. Ltd., J. D. Baughman et al. vs. Pritchard & Bonne, O. H. Thompson vs. J. A. Gresham et. al. were all dismissed.
