Enjoyable Reception

The Gazette
January 8, 1902

Quite an enjoyable reception was given last Thursday evening at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Taylor. It was given in honor of their guests, Misses Pratt and McCord. Nearly all the young people of the town were present.

The evening was spent pleasantly in conversation and games. Mrs. Taylor, Misses Laupheimer and Vinson furnished some very sweet guitar music. Refreshments, consisting of fruit, cake and bon bons, were served about ten o’clock.

The merry party did not break up until a late hour. Mrs. Taylor entertained so successfully that all the guests declared that they had had a “great” time.
