Judge Dawkins convened the February session of the Fourth District Court for Union Parish Monday morning. He appointed M. J. Pearson as foreman of the grand jury, and the panel was completed as followers: Arthur Albritton, J. J. Price, S. A. Graves, Perry Newsome, John Andrews, M. F. Lett, N. C. Ward, J. E. Gill, J. J. Booth, H. D. Pardue and M. A. Talbot. After being charged, the grand jury as aforesaid at once entered upon their work of investigating the infractions of the law.
Richard Walker pleaded guilty to charge of carrying concealed weapons and was fined $25 and costs.
The suits of Lewis M. Davis vs. J. A. Cleaton and J. G. Trimble vs. Joe Ramsey were dismissed at plaintiffs’ costs.
