The Knights of Pythias celebrated the thirty-eighth anniversary of the order at their Castle Hall last Wednesday evening. Abel addresses were given by Messrs. C. H. Murphy, C. H. Jameson and J. R. Simmons.
Music was furnished by a string band from Monroe. Several interesting selections were given by a zylophone which was very gracefully manipulated by its owner, Mr. W. J> Turnage.
After the exercises were concluded, the audience was treated to a feast of fine eatables which was served down stairs. Then the devotees of the dance trapped the “light fantastic toe” until a late hour.
