Mrs. Mattie Pleasant Dead

Died at her home in Farmerville, La., on the morning of Sept. 8, Mrs. Mattie Pleasant.

This announcement come with no shock to the many friends of Mrs. Pleasant for she has suffered from an incurable malady for several months; but, though unexpected, not less keen is the sorrow it will bring to all who know her. Throughout Farmerville and vicinity her memory will be revered as a devoted wife and mother, a loyal friend, and a faithful worker in the church of her faith.

Mrs. Pleasant leaves a husband, Mr. B. F. Pleasant, who for years has been a popular officer of Union Pariah, and five children, Col. R. G. Pleasant, a prominent member of the Shreveport bar, Mr. Karl Pleasant, a young merchant of Farmerville, Miss Annie Pleasant, recently graduated from the Keachie College, and little Frank and Lucile Pleasant. To this grief stricken family The Gazette extends deepest sympathy.
