The latest public enterprise in Union Parish is the Farmerville State Bank, which was incorporated Monday in this town. Its charter appears in today’s paper. This institution proposes to commence business on September 1st, and as soon as practicable a building site will be purchased and a new brick structure erected thereon The capital stock of the new bank is fixed at $25,000, and every stock holder’s subscription had to be cut down in order to keep the capital stock within the limit desired. The board of directors is composed of J. D. Baughman, R. B. Dawkins, Edw. Everett, C. H. Jameson, C. H. Murphy, J. M. Smith, Duke Selig, J. G. Trimble and W. J. Turnage; and the officers are J. G. Trimble, president; C. H. Jameson, vice-president; and T. J. Breed, cashier.
