Marion Dots

The Gazette
August 10, 1904

Dear Editor:

I will try to give you a few dots from this little city. We have the coming town of the parish, and as soon as the railroad gets here you will see what Marion will do.

The contract will soon be let for a $3,500 school building.

Work has begun on the new methodist church which is being built in the sourthern part of town.

Dr. O. H. Tompson’s new residence will soon be completed and, when finished, will be one of the best in the parish.

We learn that Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Smith has a fine baby boy at their home, Mother and baby are doing well.

Mrs. W. P. Reppond was a visitor at the home of Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Smith on Saturday.

Dr. R. E. Thompson made a business trip to Felsenthal , Ark. Thursday.

Marion has a good baseball park and the next thing which we are trying to arrange for is a brass band.

SNIPES.
