Lawrence Carroll, of Bernice has been employed as deputy tax assessor in the office of W. B. Taylor, tax assessor of Union Parish. He began work in this capacity yesterday morning..
Mr. Carroll has many friends in Farmerville and this section of Union Parish and needs no introduction here. He was born and reared near Spearsville and is a member of one of the most prominent families of the parish.
At the present time, Mr. Carroll will maintain his residence in Bernice driving to his work here each morning; but he stated that he would move his family to Farmerville within the near future.
