Voters of Lincoln and Union Parish will go to the polls next Tuesday, January 24, to elect a district attorney for the Third Judicial District of Louisiana.
Armand F. Rabun, of Farmerville, and Truett L. Scarborough, of Ruston, are seeking the office in a run-off election to fill the unexpired term of the late T. C. Bergeron, who died suddenly on December 7.
In the first primary held last Tuesday, January 10, Rabun was high man in Union Parish and Scarborough was high in Lincoln Parish, however the voters of Lincoln Parish only gave the two candidates from Union only 213 votes between them.
Union Parish, in the first primary, outvoted Lincoln Parish by nearly 700 votes.
