Mrs. Gussie Wright has returned to her home at Alexandria after a three week’s visit here with her sister, Mrs. Duke Selig.
Mrs. Lester Gaharan, of Breaux Bridge, is here visiting her parents Mr. and Mrs. H. G. Fields.
Mrs. Fred Preaus and little son spent the week end at Ruston with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Gill.
Miss Madelyn Waldrop, of Haile, spent the week end here with her sister, Mrs. W. C. Tugwell.
Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Stancil, Jr., of Cleveland, Texas, spent the week and here with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Stancil, Sr., and their daughter, Miss June.

Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Keller, of Minden, spent the week end here with Mrs. Keller’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. D. O. Ramsey.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Dozier and Mrs. C. C. Dozier, of Monroe, spent the week end here with relatives.
Miss Ellen Boulware has accepted a position in Monroe.
Mrs. J. Y. Green spent Friday in Shreveport with her father, Mr. O. A. Peppers, of Junction City, who underwent an operation.
Mr. A. C. Gill and Mrs. Smith, of Ruston, were guests of Mrs. M. J. Pearson the latter part of the week.
Mr. and Mrs. Omah Muckleroy and son, John Miller, spent the week end at Monroe with Mr. and Mr. Wiley Doss.
Miss Billie Taylor, of Ruston, spent the week end here with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. B. Taylor.
Miss Marietta Nelson has returned from Ruston where she has been under medical treatment.
Mr. and Mrs. J. Wyatt and Miss Hattie Taylor, of Monroe, were guests of friends here Sunday.
Mrs. Sue L. Barnes, who has been very ill at her home here, continued to improve yesterday.

Mrs. Gussie Wrigt Honored at Bridge
Mrs. Duke Selig entertained at bridge Wednesday afternoon, February 1, complimentary to her house guest, Mrs. Gussie Wright, of Alexandria.
The guests played in the attractive living room bright with Mexican and Spanish furnishings. At the conclusion of the games the hostess served varied Mexican foods in colorful china.
The present at this delightful occasion were Mrs. Gussie Wright, Mrs. Stein Baughman, Mrs. Mike Smith, Mrs. John Boughton, Mrs. Charles Jacobs, Mrs. Frank Yelton, Mrs. O. O. Cummngs, Mrs. Fred Preaus, Mrs. O’Donnell, Miss Fay Baughman, Miss Lillian Edwards.

Mrs. Gussie Wright was honored at bridge by Mrs. Harvey G. Fields, Thursday afternoon, February 2.
Narcissus and jonquils attractively arranged, added color and loveliness to the living rooms. Mrs. Stein Baughman won the highest score at the conclusion of the games and Mrs. Charles Jacobs second. To Mrs. Wright, Mrs. Fields presented vari-colored sachet balls. A salad course was served consisting of chicken salad, pickles, potato chips, crackers, coffee.
The guests for the afternoon were Mrs. Gussie Wright, Mrs. Duke Selig, Mrs. Lester Hartman, Miss Reita Hartman, Mrs. John Taylor, Mrs. O. Muckleroy, Mrs. Edward Everett, Jr., Mrs. Stein Baughman, Mrs. Charles Jacobs, Mrs. O. O. Cummings, Mrs. Fred Preaus, Mrs. J. Y. Green, Mrs. John Boughton.

Among the many charming affairs honoring Mrs. Gussie Wright during her recent visit was the bridge party given on Wednesday night by Mrs. Luther Tettleton. Flowers adorned the handsome reception suite where tables were laid for contract, and the Valentine motif was portrayed in the tallies, score cards, table appointments and in the delicious refreshments.
Gift for high score, Fiesta China cream and sugar set, was captured by Mrs. Duke Selig and the hostess presented Mrs. Wright with Hourbigant dusting powder.
Others present on this delightful occasion were Mrs. A. C. Dykes, Mrs. C. W. Kennedy, Mrs. G. M. Edwards, Mrs. J. A. Wainwright, Mrs. Ben M. Lee, Mrs. Jack Terral, Mrs. Guy Ludwig, Mrs. Jim Futch, Mrs. W. C. Tugwell and Miss Reita Hartman.
