The Bernice Journal
August 29, 1929

One of the most enjoyable affairs of the summer of this community was the B. Y. P. U. social last Wednesday night in the hospitable home of Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Patrick. Many of the old and young folks and children of the community were present, and all enjoyed many amusing games. After which ice cream and cake were served. Everybody left about 11 o’clock declaring this to be a real good get-to-gether. The visitors were Mr. Fuller of Dubach, Mrs. Willie Cooksey, of Hot Springs, and Mr. and Mrs. Aubrey Cole, of Chickasha, Okla.

Only a few attended Sunday School Sunday after noon, but we are hoping for a better attendance next Sunday.
