The Third District Court in and for Union Parish, convened in regular September term at the Court House in Farmerville on Monday morning, September 16th, at 10 o’clock. Regular officers were present.

The Grand Jury was duly empaneled and charged.

The following cases were disposed of during the week.

Frost Lumber Industries, Inc. vs. John Bluford. Case refixed for trial on Friday, October 25.

In-re Monition Proceeding of A. G. Stephenson. Matter fixed for Friday, October 25.

Add C. Tugwell vs. Louvenia McElroy Wyatt et al. Case continued indefinitely.

A. G. Stephenson vs. Carl Spillers. Case dismissed as having been compromised.

Frost Lumber Industries Inc. vs. Murry Hollis et al. Case dismissed as having been compromised.

M. A. Talbot & Son, vs. Honor Smith et al. Judgment for plaintiff pursuant to confession of defendant.

M. A. Talbot & Son vs. Henry Smith. Judgment for plaintiff pursuant to confession of defendant.

G. C. Hicks vs. J. L. Youngbood et al. Judgment for plaintiff pursuant to confession of defendant.

State vs. Coy Lyons, possession of liquor. The defendant pleaded guilty and was fined $100.00 and cost and also to be jailed 30 days; conditioned that upon payment of $50.00 and all costs sentence be suspended during good behavior.

G. C. Hicks vs. Robert Austin et al. Judgment for plaintiff as prayed for, pursuant to confession of the defendant.

J. M. Moore vs. Newt Poland. Cast tried and Judgment for plaintiff for $26.87 1-2, costs of the lower court to be paid by the defendant and costs of this court to be paid by the plaintiff.

Industrial Gas Co., vs. G. E. Crow, Tutor. Case set for trial on Monday, November 18.

Oscar M. Pace vs. Mrs. Effie Pace. Case tried and Judgment rendered for the plaintiff as prayed for.

James Royland Kelley vs. Mrs. Ida Wilson et al. Judgment rendered for both to compromise and agreement.

Huttig Gin Co. vs. J. E. Pinkard. Case set for trial on Tuesday Nov. 19, 1929,

Clint McDado vs. Liggin Drug Co. Case set for trial on Tuesday Nov. 19.

A. A. Callemier vs. Frank D. Staples et. al. Judgment for plaintiff confirming default.

D. L. Wiley vs. Joe Clark. Judgment for plaintiff confirming default with $10.00 Curator’s fee.

M. A. Talbot & Son vs. W. J. Moore. Judgment for plaintiff, confirming default.

N. V. Mills vs. Dewitt Talton. Judgment for plaintiff confirming default.

Lin Barham vs. Mary Barham Judgment for plaintiff confirming default.

A. C. Redden vs. Dolly Podds Redden. Judgment for plaintiff confirming default.

Willie Wines vs. Caroline Ireland Wines. Judgment for plain tiff as prayed for, confirming default.

In five cases of Mason M. Tucker praying for a Monition. There was Judgment rendered for plaintiff as prayed for.

One case of G. W. James praying for a monition judgment for the plaintiff as prayed for.

State of Louisiana vs. Elliott Lovett. Case tried and submitted and defendant found guilty of desertion and non support of his wife and children. Sentence deferred until next Friday, Sept. 27th. Defendant released under a $800 bond.

Dr. W. J. Hodge vs. Johnny Donaldson. Judgment for plaintiff confirming default.

Limmie Kasee vs. Mattie Richard Kasee. Case tried, submitted and judgment for plaintiff as prayer for.

Succession of J. B. Cole. Trial of Oppositions and of the main issue set for Friday, Oct. 25.

Princey Grey Cullen vs. Otis Cullens. Judgment for plaintiff confirming default.

Leslie Black vs. Ossie Little Black. Judgment for plaintiff as prayed for, confirming default.

A. G. Everett vs. T. L. Taunon, judgment for plaintiff as prayer for.

H. A. Patterson vs. Heirs of W. T. Tugwell, judgment for plaintiff as prayed for.

Robert Ives et al vs. Lawrence Billberry et al. Case set for trial on Nov. 19.

J. M. Hicks vs. G. A. Craighead. Motion for a new trial overruled. The case appealed by the defendant.

Aubrey Williams vs. Sannie Williams. Case tried and judgment for plaintiff as prayed for.

Cornelius Futch vs. Frank D. Staples et al. Case set for trial on Nov. 18.

Flossie H. Wood vs. Geo. B. Wood. Case set for trial on Oct. 25.

Sally Stewart vs. Frost Lumber Industries Inc. Case dismissed.
