Mrs. I. P. McDonald who has been seriously sick is improving.
Miss Bertha Cobb, is teaching school at Archer, La.
Our saw Mill is in running order and cutting something less than a million feet a week.
A gentleman from near here who attended the reunion at New Orleans stepped off of the wharf and was recued with some difficulty.
Professor Thorne has been unanimously reelected as principal of Everette Institute for the ensuing year. He has not accepted as yet.
Pastor Waldrop and wife spent a day or two with friends in our village last week.
Our school closes Friday, May the 25th. Thursday night there will be an entertainment at the church, beginning sharply at 8 o’clock. Friday the exercises will begin at 10:30. Professor Lewis will lead the singing and there will be five or six fifteen minute addresses. All the speakers will be strictly limited to a quarter of an hour. There will be dinner.
