Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Stancil, Jr. of Cleveland, Texas and Mr. E. L. Pace of Liberty, Texas were called here last week by the critical illness of their brother Mr. Jack Pace who is a patient in a hospital in Monroe. His condition is reported better

Mrs. A. C. Dykes and son, Roland accompanied Mrs. Wallace A. Abat and little daughter, Ruth Ann to Shreveport Saturday and were guests of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Breathwit. Mrs. Abat and daughter will return to their home at Big Springs, Texas Monday

Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Williams left Monday for El Paso, Texas where they will meet their son, Pvt. John Lee Williams, who is stationed in New Mexico, for a few days visit.

Mr. B. B. Broomfield, who is in the U. S. Navy, stationed at Richmond, Va., and Mrs. Broomfield of Shreveport spent the past weekend with Mrs. Broomfield’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Miller Edwards

Friends of Mr. Jack Pace regret that he is still confined to a hospital in Monroe. They are glad, however, to learn that he is said to be improving
