It has come to the time that Mt. Patrick Baptist Church has dreaded for years, the closing of the church doors permanently. Unless some people and area churches don’t step up the door will have to be locked. It is not safe for folks to be in the back section of the church, due to termite damage. Carolyn Elliott has tried her best to keep events going at the church so it could stay open (at least every couple of months) and she has kept the back open for families to use when they bury their loved ones in the cemetery. She has had a contractor come and give her a quote to have the work done on the back section, she said there is no way that the church can afford having the work done. If you would, please pray about how much you can help with this project. Those of us who go to the singings and have loved ones buried in the cemetery would really like to see the back section redone and the door left open for events. If you have loved ones buried in the cemetery, we ask for your help also.
